| Transitions for Youth (Rutgers State University) |
A newly re-designed website for the RUTGERS School of Social Work, Transitions for Youth. This project is especially important because it showcases an enormous amount of applications which are pertinent in any industry. After a detailed situation analysis of organization’s goals and needs for this project, we came up with an innovative, lively and colorful design that directly appeals to it’s target audience. Also featuring video, flash animation, student blogs, faculty forums and other interactive application tools for the service providers and affiliated agencies.
Another area that needed close attention, was organization and sorting of all the information. To solve that we created a coherent navigation, so the users could easily access and locate all the needed resources. The most useful element of this website is that it is designed to be dynamic, meaning the client has full control over all the file, document, image, and video uploading tools through an easy-to-use content administrator,directly through their web browser. Furthermore, all the uploaded assets can be assigned to various sections of the website from within this location. So in this case, Transitions’ web master can easily change, edit and add all the news, events, projects, services information and images through a secure web browser in a matter of minutes.
Other useful tools that we created for Transitions for Youth, include PDF brochure generator and newsletter generator. Both of the items are applications that are accessed through the same web browser, which allow the client to easily select images and enter text, to create beautifully designed brochures, catalogs and newsletters (for both web-use and print use). |
